Dr. Jaber Eidha Al Jaberi is Deputy Secretary General at the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi. He supports and assists in leading the organization to achieve its mandate of protecting the environment by reducing the pollution and enhancing the Emirate’s biodiversity.
Dr. Al Jaberi is also Director General of Occupational Safety and Health Center – Abu Dhabi (OSHAD Center). He plays a leading role in developing and implementing Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health System, which aims to reduce and prevent occupational diseases and accidents at workplaces.
In addition to his current roles, Dr. Al Jaberi is a member of the Security, Justice and Safety Committee at the Executive Council, and other local committees.
He is also representing Abu Dhabi Emirate at federal committees such as the Higher Committee of Environmental Committee, the National Committee of BioSecurity, the Executive Committee of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and others.
He is a member of IPCC Emission Factor Database Editorial Board under the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), as well as a member of several international organizations.
Dr. Al Jaberi holds a Ph.D. in Environment Management from the University of Glamorgan, Cardiff, UK (2000), an M.Sc. in Environment Science (1996), and a B.Sc. in Chemicals and Petroleum Engineer (1992) from the United Arab Emirates University.
