Dr. Shagufta Gill has been Post-Doctoral Researcher at ICBA since 2013. She is currently Research Associate - Soil Amendment Project. Prior to this role, she had worked as an agricultural chemist (pesticides) at Quality Control Laboratory, Kala Shah Kaku, Pakistan, and as a research associate with the Nuclear Institute for Food and Agriculture, Peshawar, Pakistan. Between 1999 and 2009 she held various positions ranging from soil scientist to agricultural officer.
She holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Soil Biology and Biochemistry from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, Pakistan. Her main areas of expertise are research on soil biology and biochemistry, use of stable and radioactive isotopes in soil science and plant nutrition studies, chemical analysis of soil, plant and water.
She has published 14 research publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals, and one book.
