Dr. Susan Robertson joined ICBA in November 2015 as Agricultural Economist. Dr. Robertson has a multidisciplinary background in international development, with training in both social and environmental sciences. In her capacity as a social scientist, she includes benefit/cost analyses, designing gender-sensitive interventions, and setting up impact assessments among her contributions. She has been working for over 10 years on land use and environmental economics, as well as value chain development. She has also worked extensively on private sector engagement in research for development and scaling out research results. She believes strongly in integrating private and public activities for poverty alleviation.
Dr. Robertson holds a doctorate in Agriculture and Resource Economics from the University of Alberta, Canada.
