New study flags critical knowledge gaps in global soil salinity research

A recent study by an international team of scientists, including Dr. Asad Sarwar Qureshi, a senior scientist in water and irrigation management at the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA), has shed light on a number of critical knowledge gaps and priorities in global soil salinity research.
  • Under the agreement, ICBA and AJBWC will develop projects and capacity development programs, including training workshops focused on agripreneurship targeting, among others, AJBWC members.

ICBA, Ajman Business Women Council team up to boost agripreneurship in UAE

The International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA) and the Ajman Business Women Council (AJBWC), which is affiliated with the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, have agreed to collaborate on capacity development to boost agripreneurship among youth and women.
  • As part of the project titled “Resilient agrifood dynamism through evidence-based policies” (READY), ICBA and UOWD will also formulate policies and actions to help make the country’s food system more resilient to supply shocks and disruptions. Moreover, the project will design a dedicated knowledge portal and a database, as well as create a set of scenarios and models.
