Dr. Ahmed Attia
Dr. Ahmed Attia joined ICBA in May 2021 as Post-Doctoral Fellow - Irrigation and Water Management.
He had previously worked with the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension, the USA; the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), Brazil; the French agricultural research and international cooperation organization (CIRAD), France; and Zagazig University and Desert Research Institute, Egypt.
He specializes in water and irrigation management for field crops using a wide range of techniques involving field studies, crop modelling and remote sensing. He has experience in developing digital tools for optimizing agricultural management practices, as well as statistical analysis and computing.
He is author and co-author of 26 articles in high-impact-factor peer-reviewed journals.
He holds BSc and MSc degrees from Zagazig University, Egypt, and a PhD degree from Texas A&M University, the USA.
