Dr. Fatma Rekik
Dr. Fatma Rekik joined ICBA in November 2020 as Post-Doctoral Fellow - Soil Remediation Scientist.
She has previous agriculture-related work experience with the Food and Agriculture Organizations of the United Nations; the Natural Resource Conservation Services of the US Department of Agriculture; and the Ministry of Agriculture of Tunisia.
She holds bachelor’s, master’s and PhD degrees from Cornell University, the USA. Her master’s research looked at soil health on smallholder coffee farms in Colombia and its socio-economic implications, and her self-designed PhD research looked at the interlinkages of soil health and human health in rural subsistence farming communities in Jharkhand, India.
She has published research articles in peer-reviewed journals in addition to co-authoring an FAO book.
Dr. Fatma Rekik is a recipient of various awards, including the National Science Foundation - Graduate Research Fellowship Program.
