a) Validate the findings of the Lebanese ‘needs assessment’ carried out earlier in the year and obtain feedback before the final report is published;

b) Introduce the Lebanese composite drought index (CDI) which is the combined map to be used in drought monitoring process and gather feedback on how it represents past Lebanese events;

c) Agree on the next steps along the path towards the Lebanese drought management system including monitoring capabilities being established. Discussions on the governance structure, institutional responsibilities and roles, sustainability needs, capacity development, technology transfer and support will take place and a road map agreed on the path forward.
