Aiming to establish a standardized benchmark for sustainable impact, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability, the Impact Seal serves as the official federal recognition of sustainable impact practices in the UAE. It is designed to assess organizations’ commitment to environmental, social, and governance principles and UN Social Development Goals (SDGs) through their policies, programs, and initiatives.

ICBA gets Gold Impact Seal for sustainable impact in UAE

Held at ICBA’s headquarters in Dubai on 6-9 November 2023, the CPD-certified training program focused on a range of nature-based technologies and approaches for managing and restoring degraded soils and mitigating and adapting to climate change effects on agriculture. It was based on more than two decades of ICBA’s research and development work in sustainable natural resources management and land rehabilitation in different parts of the world.

ICBA supports G20 Global Land Initiative in developing national capacities for land restoration

The agreement will help create a dedicated learning space for farmers, agricultural engineers, extension officers, and other specialists in agriculture and related fields. A memorandum of understanding to this effect was signed at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment of the UAE, in the presence of H.E. Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment, by Dr. Tarifa Alzaabi, Director General of ICBA, and H.E. Hassan Abdullah Al Rostamani, Vice-Chairman of the Al Rostama

Organized under the theme of “Putting youth at the heart of climate action”, the event aims to bring together young people from across the UAE to share their experiences, insights, and solutions on climate change.
