H.E. Eng. Mohammed Mousa Alameeri is Assistant Undersecretary for the Food Diversity Sector at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment of the UAE. In this capacity, he has completed the legislative frameworks for agricultural production and environmental sustainability and has founded the Farmers Council. Moreover, he is the head of the working group to enhance the sustainability of national farms in the UAE.

He also chairs several committees such as the UAE Food Safety Committee, the Higher Technical Committee for Equine and the National Committee for Local Production and Technology.

In addition to being a member of ICBA’s Board of Directors, he is a member of the Executive Board of the Islamic Organization for Food Security as well as of the Global Leaders Group on Antimicrobial Resistance.

Previously he was manager of the Plant Tissue Culture Program at the Elite Agro LLC, the UAE; regional manager, shareholder representative and general manager at the Elite Agro LLC’s subsidiaries, Morocco; general manager at the Elite Agro LLC, Mauritania; and Deputy Director of Agricultural Operations at the Elite Agro LLC, the UAE. While at the Elite Agro LLC, he initiated and oversaw the first-ever foreign agricultural investment involving high technology in Mauritania.

H.E. Eng. Mohammed Mousa Alameeri believes in integration and cooperation in order to transfer experience and knowledge and invest in research and development to drive innovations to increase local productivity. Therefore, he is contributing to supporting cooperation between countries and different sectors in order to unify efforts and maximize the contribution of international organizations to promote innovation and ensure sustainable food security.

He holds a BSc in Agricultural Engineering from the UAE University in Al Ain, the UAE.
